Donald John Kohne of Dallas, Texas passed away at his home on Saturday, December 14, 2019, one week shy of his 92nd birthday.He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 21, 1927 to George and Susan (Rattazzi) Kohne.Don served our country from June 1946 to November 1947. His boat landed in Japan on his 19th birthday, December 21, 1946. In 1950, he married Virginia Elliott. In 1972, with four kids in tow, they headed south to Farmers Branch, Texas and have been there ever since. He was the best Food Service Consultant this side of the Mississippi. His many, but not all, very much deserved awards include Best Dad, Best Papa, Most Generous, and Best Christmas Cookie Baker, especially spingerlies and rum balls. He will be missed dearly, but knowing he with our mom gives us comfort and peace.
