Shirley Jane (Wallin)Kretchmar With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who went to be with the passed away on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 after fighting several battles with cancer.Shirley was born to Florence E. (Wallin) Johnson and Eric R. Wallin on September 7th, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jeanne and brother Glenn.She is survived by her loving husband Phil, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage; her three children and their spouses, Phillip G. Kretchmar (Rochelle), Kirsten Hasfjord (Joel), Beth DAlfonso (partner Chriss), and son-in-law Robert; seven grandchildren, Jameson, Aubree, Anna, Grant, Brooke, Katarina, and Glenn; three sisters, Elaine, Diane and Joanne; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.Shirley was a fun loving person who loved to laugh and enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved being with her friends, family, and especially her grandchildren, who knew her as Mimi. She was an avid reader who enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, and gardening. She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being a member of the Womens Circle. She took pride in her Swedish heritage, as seen in the collections and keepsakes in her home.Shirley deeply inspired those around her because of her strong Christian values, her unwavering strength, and her kind generosity.
