Sidney E. Langley, 83, of Crandall, Texas went to be with his passed away on Wednesday November 2, 2016. Sidney was born May 22, 1933 to James and Addie Langley in Dallas Texas. Sidney would serve his country with honor in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge, Sidney went to work for Lone Star Gas Company for 35 years before retiring. He also devoted his time to the Rebekahs and Oddfellow where he served as president. He was a member of the Crandall chapter of the Lions Clubs. He was a devoted member of First Community Church of Crandall.Sidney is preceded in death by his parents James and Addie Langley; brothers, Bobby and wife, Mildred, Samuel and wife, Joan, Wendall and wife, Evelyn Langley; sister, Joyce Weeks and husband, B.D.; nephews, Bruce and Kenneth Weeks, Bobby Edward and Keith Langley; and niece, Kathy Munoz.Those left to celebrate his life include his sons, Sidney Ear Langley Jr, William Leeland Langley and his wife, Teresa; daughter, Sherry Lynn Hopper and husband, Sonny; grandchildren, Wanda Christine Johnson and finance, Lee Burris, Amanda Gail Garcia and husband, Jerry; great grandchildren, Marina Penate, Clayton Johnson, Gabriel Garcia, Koby Johnson, Aidrian Garcia and Keller Burris.Memorial services will be Sunday, November 6th, 2016 at 3:00pm at First Community Church 1401 Trinity Road, Crandall Texas 75114 (across from W.A. Martin Elementary School) Officiant Steve Small.
