Ben Erle Laurie, longtime Dallas radio personality, was born to Billy and Leita (Atkinson) Laurie in Palestine, Texas on July 27, 1938 and passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at his home in Dallas, Texas at the age of 72. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. Funeral arrangements are under the personal direction of John P. Brooks.
