Lawrence
Tucker
July 29, 1948 – July 13, 2025
Gone Too Soon
Lawrence Edward Tucker went home to be with the Lord on July 13,2025
Larry was a Powerful Man of God, Devoted Husband, Loving Father and Proud Papa. He also served his country in the US Navy and is an Honorably Discharged Vietnam Veteran. And later he dedicated 25 years of service to the US Postal Service from which he retired.
Following retirement, he dedicated himself to serving on the board of Mother Tucker Ministries, continuing to support the legacy his mother stated years ago, and sharing the gospel through his own writings and poetry.
His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God, and his constant willingness to serve and uplift those around him. Whether through his quiet strength, wise counsel, or gentle spirit, he left a lasting impact on countless lives.
His passing has left a significant void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the tragic way his life ended, but for the extraordinary way it was lived, and for the profound impact He had on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary and his children Sheldon, Shannon, Amber, Amano and Lewis, as well as 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was one of 16 children including those who remain Betty, Charles, Diane, Minnie, Apollos, Janet, Roy and Regina, and countless nieces and nephews.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held at Prestonwood Baptist Church Faith Chapel in Plano, Texas on July 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Immediate Family to gather at 12:00 Noon.
Interment will be immediately following at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas
We ask that in lieu of flowers donations are made to his Go Fund Me account to help with the funeral cost.
