LeCOUR, Frank Luis was born in Houston, Texas on August 18, 1954 and died suddenly and peacefully in his sleep of a heart attack at his home in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, January 14, 2012.Frank was the son of Joseph Lanard LeCour and Louise Teresa Schliepake LeCour. Frank's maternal grandparents were Wilhelm George Schliepake and Anna Marie Muenster Schliepake who, with their children, owned and operated the Blue Front Restaurant in downtown Dallas since 1929. Frank attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Houston and Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas.Frank served in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1982 and was stationed in San Diego, CA and New Orleans, LA. After his active service, Frank was employed for 20 years as an industrial hygienist at the Naval Air Station in Belchaise, LA.While living in New Orleans, Frank played lead guitar in many clubs and venues in the French Quarter and was known as Frankie Nola. He regularly toured the Deep South and played in numerous blues and jazz festivals in and around the Gulf Coast.While living in the Quarter, Frank and his talents were drawn to the church. He became actively and faithfully involved in music ministry and also served on the praise and worship team at their former church. For the last four years, he and wife Sharon have been devoted, active and faithful members of Soul
