Obituary

Patricia Ann Gaidys Libano, 74, passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 19, 2015, at her home in Farmers Branch, Texas.Patricia was born in Randolph, Vermont to William and Rachel Gaidys on September 11, 1941. She graduated with Honors from Randolph Union High School in 1959 and then attended the University of Connecticut, graduating in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.After getting married in New York City in 1970 and having her first child, Patricia and her husband spent time living abroad in the Bahamas, Italy, Indonesia, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. They eventually settled in Dallas, Texas in 1979 where she helped raise her two sons and worked as a retail pharmacist for the rest of her life. Patricia was fluent in Spanish, liked reading, continued to travel the globe, had fun tracking the stock market, and enjoyed annual summer vacations with her family on Lake Champlain in Vermont. In recent years, she spent time acting as a caregiver for her husband with Alzheimers, babysitting her new grandson, and volunteering with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Diocesan Council of Dallas.Her parents, William and Rachel Gaidys, preceded her in death. Patricia is survived by her husband of forty-five years Alfonso (79), her son Jose (41) and his wife Yvonne of Cumberland, Rhode Island, her son Roberto (38) and his wife Yoshiko of Frisco, Texas, her grandson Santiago (2) of Frisco, Texas, her brother Michael Gaidys and his wife Linda of Randolph, Vermont, her sister Jean Adams of Port Charlotte, Florida, her brother Dr. William Gaidys and his wife Loretta of Barre, VT, her step-daughter Maria Paz Sepulveda and her husband Angel of Miami, Florida, her brother-in-law Manuel Libano and his wife MaryAnn of Staten Island, NY, and numerous extended family members.Vigil will be held on December 28, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. in the Brooks Family Chapel of theNorth Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 pm at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes can be made to:Society of St. Vincent de Paul Diocesan Council of Dallas (https://svdpdallas.org/give/donate/online)OR Alzheimers Association (https://bit.ly/1NzrdC2)Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
