Long, Betty Sue Chow Of Farmers Branch, passed away 11-28-09. Viewing will be Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at North Dallas Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10:00a.m. on Monday, December 7th in the funeral home chapel. Graveside Services will follow at Dallas-Fort worth National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Betty was born October 26, 1930 to Martin and Dessie Chow of Kentucky. In 1952 the family moved to Dallas where Betty married Melvin Long on November 7, 1958. Betty stayed home to raise their two chidren, Wes and Sheri, while also babysitting other children in her home for nearly 30 years. Betty was predeceased by her parents as well as three brothers, Robert, James and Allen Chow. She is survived by her husband, Melvin, her son Wes (fiancee Jill Wise), her aughter Shri, and two wonderful grandchildren, Megan and Brad. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Valley View Christian Church, 17601 Marsh Lane, Dallas, TX 75287.
