Obituary

Luis G. Ramos, 81, passed away on June 1, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and would make many laugh with his sense of humor and quick wit. Born in Lima, Peru, he came to the United States at the age of 26 to work as a jeweler in the Diamond District of New York City. He met his wife of 51 years in the Big Apple, but they eventually settled in Dallas, Texas with their two children. He was an avid soccer fan and you could often find him watching an FC Dallas game with his son. He was hoping to watch future games with his grandson, who is due to arrive later this month. His love of music was passed on to his daughter and granddaughters, who will always think of him when they hear the song, Stand by Me.

Luis is survived by his wife, Maria, son Guillermo, daughter Elvira, her husband Lorenzo, and granddaughters, Juliana and Emilia.
