Louise Ollie (Davis) Maclin of Carrollton, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the age of 97.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas.Mrs. Maclin was born to Ollie Louise Davis and Alfred Webb Davis in Greenville, Texas on October 21, 1918. At the age of five, she moved from Greenville, Texas to Wichita Falls, Texas with her family. Shortly thereafter, her father established Davis Grocery on 23rd Street in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Maclin graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1935, and then attended Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. Upon returning to Wichita Falls, she met and married Clem Lolon Maclin in 1939.Mrs. Maclin was a long-time member of The First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Friendship Class, and served a term as a deacon in the church. After several years of working as a legal secretary, she went to work in the Wichita County Courthouse in 1962. There she served as the secretary and bailiff for Judge Calvin Ashley. She retired in 1984.Due to ill health, Mrs. Maclin moved to Dallas in 2004 to be near relatives.Preceding her in death were her parents, Alfred and Ollie Louise Davis; her stepmother, Sue Davis; her husband, Clem L. Maclin; and her brother, Fred Davis.Surviving are son, Cary Maclin and wife, Barbara; daughter, Betty Lindsey; granddaughter, Krsitin Yates and husband, Dan; granddaughter Melissa Wright and husband, Michael; and great-grandchildren Caitlyn Yates, Chandler Yates, Taylor Billmyre, and Alexis Billmyre.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
