It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mai Thanh Tin, who departed from this world on April 05, 2024, at the age of 65 after a long battle with lung cancer. He had a peaceful death at home surrounded by family.

He was born on October 31, 1958 in Huế, VN to Mai Văn Kỳ and Nguyễn thị Kim Điểu. He was the 9th of 10 children. He married Tran Kieu Hanh and shared two daughters, Jennifer Tran and Nicole Tran. He spent most of his life settled in Carollton, TX. He was a beloved brother, father and husband.

Professionally, he dedicated himself to the field of sanitation, working as a diligent worker. He strived tirelessly to provide for his family. He always felt the weight of financial strain, leaving him with the lingering feeling that there was never enough. He always believed he was doing the best he could under the circumstances.

He embraced life's pleasures, whether it was trying his luck at the Casino, the ritual of smoking a good cigarette, and the discovery of new places. He also had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs throughout the years that brought him solace and companionship. Though he was often reserved and a man of little words, he will forever be recalled for his radiant smile, laughter and his love for his daughters. He cherished the small, joyful moments spent with his family.

Mai Thanh Tin is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Mai thị Phương Lan, Mai Thanh Lân, Mai Thanh Long, Mai Thanh Hiền, Mai Phương Thảo and Mai Nghĩa Châu. He is survived by Mai Bích Diệp, Mai Vạn Phước and Mai Văn Hoà.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mai Thanh Tin. Tin's family deeply appreciate of all the support and prayers they received on his behalf.
