Manuel Anthony Salas, better known as Buster, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Plano, TX on December 17, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Juanita (Miranda) Salas, his sister Sylvia Risinger of Mauriceville, TX and his brother, John Lee Salas, better known as Lil Man of Vidor, TX.
He is survived by his long-time life partner, Sandra Garcia of Richardson, TX, his 3 sons, Xavier Garcia and daughter-in-law, Lily Haro Garcia of Reno, NV, Zachary Moreno and Ygnacio Moreno of Richardson, TX. He had 3 granddaughters, Emmie, Denise and Jaylah Garcia of Reno, NV.
He was also survived by his sisters, Susan Daniels, brother-in-law Kevin Daniels of Orange, TX, Clemencia Price, brother-in-law Michael Price of McKinney, TX, and his brother Reggie Salas of Orange, TX, brother-in-law Randy Risinger of Mauriceville, TX and sister-in-law Val Salas of Vidor, TX.
Manuel had 5 nephews, 5 nieces, 3 great nephews, 5 great nieces, and a ton of friends that made his life special. There was one friend that held a special place in Manuel's heart, a "token" brother, if you will...Carlos Brito of Dallas, TX. They were thick as thieves and had a bond that could never be broken.
Manuel was born in Beaumont, TX on February 3, 1967. He went to West Orange Stark High School in Orange, TX.
Manuel started his career in the automotive industry as a painter assistant with his dad and brother, then went on to be a forklift driver at the Aloe Vera plant in Dallas, TX.
Manuel was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved his San Antonio Spurs, and he was also a major wrestling fanatic. Manuel loved to tell stories of his siblings and his life to his nieces and nephews. Manuel was a source of laughter everywhere he went. He was definitely the life of a party.
Manuel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
