Gladys was a homemaker and a care giver. Friends and family always gathered at her home. It didn't matter who showed up for dinner she somehow always had plenty and made everyone feel welcome. If you were one of the neighborhood kids you never had to worry when the ice cream truck came by, if Gladys didn't have the money to buy extra she would have her kids split what they had and share with you.Gladys took care of many of the grandchildren while her kids worked. Her kids never had to worry because they knew their children were safe, happy and loved while in her care. In fact most days they would have to force the kids to leave just to give Granny a break. Her grand kids say they remember when she would pick them up from school, she would either take them by her house first so they could get for ice cream, or a Hostess cup cake, Twinkies she kept the pantry stocked for them.Gladys loved the passed away and would make sure everyone knew Him.
