Passed away December 25, 2010.He was born in Dallas, Texas onNovember 21, 1929 to AlfredDeLoach Martin and Vera HarttMartin, both from Marshall, TX.He attended Highland Park Schoolsand graduated in 1947. He enteredTexas A & M where he served asPresident of his Sophomore class,member of the Ross Volunteers,and Corps Commander of Texas A& M Cadet Corps. He graduatedin 1951 with a Mechanical Engi-neering, Bachelor of Science degree.He then attended Carnegie Instituteof Technology (now Carnegie Mel-lon University) where he received aMasters Degree in Industrial Ad-ministration. Upon graduationfrom Carnegie Tech he received acommission as 2nd Lieutenant inthe Regular Army serving in Koreaas commander of C Battery of the268th Field Artillery Battalion (8"Howitzers.) His unit wasredeployed to Japan in early 1956.He returned to Dallas in 1957 andbegan his career with Central Engi-neering Supply Company, servingas Chairman and CEO. He alsoserved as Chairman of Trinity Na-tional Bank. He was a director ofCleco Corporation, Mercantile Na-tional Bank (MBank), Galveston-Houston Co., Republic InsuranceCo., Wyly Corp (later UCCEL),Exchange Park Bank, Anderson In-dustries, Triton Oil and Gas, Trini-ty Nat
