Obituary

William Louis Martin passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on February 6, 2015. Bill was born on October 11, 1926 in Manhattan, New York. He attended New York University before joining the United States Navy and serving during WW II. He graduated from NYU as an electrical engineer and retired from E-Systems after 30 years of service. He was a dedicated volunteer and dedicated a good deal of his retirement toward tutoring and volunteering at Kramer Elementary and St. Monica Catholic School. Bill was a man of great faith whose true passion was music. He was a long time member of the St. Monica Choir and the Vocal Majority Barbershop Chorus. He was also a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Martin. He is survived by his daughters: Kathleen Weatherford and husband David, Lisa McCoy and husband, Charles and grandchildren, Timothy and Katherine Wicker, Brittany, Amber and Jason McCoy, Mandi Griffin, Robert, William, Bradley and Jack Weatherford and 9 great grandchildren. Bill will always be in our memories as a devoted husband, loving father, a nurturing grandfather and a warm and caring person. Rosary and Memorial will be on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas 75220.In lieu of flowers, please donate to www.parkinsonvoiceproject,org The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at BlueBonnet Home Health Care.
