With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Martina Alvarez Mejía on September 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Martina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her unwavering faith, and the love she poured into her family. Her greatest joy was her family, who will carry forward her love and legacy. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, where she nurtured her devotion to God.
She is survived by her loving husband Miguel Mejía; her children Elvira Mejía Laínez, Iris Mejía Ferniza, and Héctor Mejía; her grandchildren Astrid, Edwin, Melissa, Chelsie, and Naomi; her great-grandchildren Trina, Ashley, Joel, and Julian.
She is also survived by her siblings Jose Heriberto, Gloria Celina, Luis Gustavo, Norma Margarita, Lidia Marina, Jose Santos, Elsy Maritza, and Yanira Elizabeth.
Beyond her immediate family, Martina leaves behind a large extended family of in- laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with many dear friends.
Martina's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Con gran tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Martina Alvarez Mejía el 20 de septiembre de 2025, rodeada del amor de su familia.
Martina fue una esposa, madre, abuela y bisabuela entregada. Su calidez, fe y bondad dejaron huella en todos los que la conocieron. Será recordada por su espíritu generoso y el amor que brindó a su familia. Su mayor alegría fue su familia, quienes llevarán adelante su amor y su legado. Su fe fue fundamental en su vida, y formaba parte de la Iglesia Católica Mary Immaculate, donde cultivó su devoción a Dios.
Le sobreviven su amado esposo Miguel Mejía; sus hijos Elvira Mejía Laínez, Iris Mejía Ferniza y Héctor Mejía Alvarez; sus nietos Astrid, Edwin, Melissa, Chelsie y Naomi; sus bisnietos Trina, Ashley, Joel y Julian.
También la sobreviven sus hermanos Jose Heriberto, Gloria Celina, Luis Gustavo, Norma Margarita, Lidia Marina, Jose Santos, Elsy Maritza y Yanira Elizabeth. También es recordada con amor por su familia extendida, incluidos cuñados y cuñadas, tíos, sobrinos, sobrinas y primos, así como muchos amigos queridos.
