Stephanie Lea Marx was born in San Antonio on February 18, 1969. She lived briefly in Austin and then moved to Carrollton. For the past 19 years she has lived at Walnut Creek (Group Home) in Mansfield, Texas.Stephanie has given joy to her family and many friends who have known her. Her favorite things were: going to church, Special Olympic bowling, eating at McDonald's, having pizza, watching the movies "Grease" and Annie", and listening to George Strait CD's.Stephanie is survived by her parents, Bob and Sharon Marx; one brother, Damon Marx and wife, Melanie, and their children, Jacob and Justin; and 5 Group Home "sisters". She also has 3 aunts, 2 uncles,and 17 1st and 2nd cousins.Special appreciation goes to her many caregivers in Mansfield.Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Brooks Family Chapel at the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2400 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, Tx 75006. Burial will follow at Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Tx 75006.Memorials may be made to the Down Syndrome Guild, Gideons, or "The Fields" at First Baptist Church, Carrollton.Please send family condolences and sign the guest book on this website.
