Mary Elizabeth Hatfield, born as Mary Elizabeth Galli but affectionately known as "Mary Beth," passed away on February 8, 2026, in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 72.

A longtime resident of Dallas, Texas, she spent her final year in Calera, Oklahoma, living with her son, Micheal Chad Smallwood, and her four grandchildren: Joseph Micheal Smallwood, Jeremiah Thomas ("JT") Smallwood, Sarah Elizabeth Smallwood, and Titus James Smallwood.

Born on August 4, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to John Joseph Galli Sr. and Mary Helen Glover Galli, Mary Beth was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life revolved around her family and loved ones.

Mary Beth dedicated more than 30 years to American Airlines, retiring after a fulfilling tenure where she formed many dear and lasting friendships.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Joseph Galli Sr.; her first husband, Jeffrey Smallwood; her second husband, James Lewis Regan; her third husband, Michael Thomas Hatfield; and her daughter-in-law, Maureen Alana Westendorf Smallwood.

Mary Beth is survived by her son, Micheal Chad Smallwood; her four cherished grandchildren; her mother, Mary Helen Glover Galli; her brother, John Joseph Galli Jr. and his children, John Joseph Galli III, Jay Forrest Galli, and Jonna Nicole Galli; her brother, August Paul Galli and his wife, Sheryl Ann Noll Galli, and their sons, Nicholas Paul Galli and Victor Louis Galli; and her beloved dog, Bella.

Mary Beth was a fun-loving woman who loved to laugh and delighted in telling stories about her life and family. She believed deeply in the power and importance of family, yet took great pride in her independence and was committed to living life on her own terms. A deeply spiritual woman with a close relationship with God, she drew strength and comfort from her faith throughout her life. Known for her warm spirit, she leaves behind a legacy of joy, kindness, and unwavering devotion that will endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of North Dallas Funeral Home in Farmers Branch, Texas, where the memorial service will be held on the Saturday of March 7, 2026 at 10:00am. Inurnment at Calvary Hill Cemetery at 12:00pm in Dallas, Texas will immediately follow the memorial service.
