Mathews, Kay Ann Went to be with the passed away on Thursday, February 11,2010 after a sudden and brief illness. Kay was born on June 15, 1060 in Dallas TX. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson HS in 1978 and from the University of North Texas in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She was a vivacious and generous person who devoted herself to God, family, and friends-always putting other's needs before her own. As well as volunteering much of her time to her children's school, she was also a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and volunteered as a VBS teacher and as a Children's Leader in the Bible Study Fellowship. She is survived by her husband, John Mathews; her sons, Buck Gentry and Mark and Keith Mathews; her daughter, Anne Mathews; mother, Narrell Ewing; brothers, Kent and Glen Ewing; grandson, Landon Gentry and numerous nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 15 at th 2:00 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton 2400 N. Josey Lane.
