Betty Jeanette (Lace) McKay of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Rockford, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Doctors Hospital in Dallas. There will be a private family burial in Rockford at a later date. Born August 23, 1921, in Davis Junction, IL, to Leroy Percy Lace and Ruth Marguerite (Metzger) Lace, Betty attended Rockford High School and there she met Robert W. McKay whom she married on June 21, 1941 in Chicago, IL. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and a member of the Emmanuel Keys Group in Rockford. She volunteered at Rockford Memorial Hospital. In 1986 Betty and her husband moved to Dallas to help establish McKay Carpets. In Dallas she was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church, Two by Two Group, and she was a volunteer at Doctors Hospital. She leaves behind her sister, Beverly O
