Steven Foster McKitrick, age 63, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on June 27, 2021 in Sachse Texas after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.Steve was born on November 14, 1957 in Akron Ohio to Russell and Doris McKitrick. He graduated from Ellet High School, proudly served in the United Air Force from 1976 to 1982 and just recently retired as an Electrical Engineer from TDK Innovata Inc.He was survived by his 2 daughters and their spouses Angela and Dylan Ellis and Jenny and Jereme Monson; his grandchildren Haley, Cade, David, Joshua and Michael; his brother David McKitrick and wife Janet Combs; his sister Christine Burton and husband Charles Burton; his nephews and niece David Matthew, Michael, Crystal and Samuel; his girlfriend Cynthia Davis and his numerous great nieces and nephews in Ohio.Steve was adventurous and full of life. The most important thing in his life was spending time with his family. He loved traveling the US and was able to visit Japan as well as his ancestry land of Scotland. He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 1:00 pm on Thursday July 1, 2021 at North Dallas Funeral Home (2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas, TX 75234). A separate graveside ceremony will be held at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
