Sandra Ann Mensing has joined our passed away in Heaven on March 5th, 2020. Known to her loved ones as Sandy, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was born to Leslie R. Dillon and AnnaBelle OBrien Dillon in Leroy, New York, December 27th, 1933. Sandy graduated from Leroy High School, Class of 1951 and spent her young life in the Rochester area where she met and married the love of her life John (Jack) Mensing in 1952. Jack and Sandy and family moved to Carrollton, Texas in 1971 where she lived until her passing. Sandy worked several jobs in the North Dallas area including Peter Pan, the lunch room at McLaughlin Elementary school, Donna Gs Answering Service, Inkjet International and Babes Chicken Dinner House.Sandy loved Country and Western dancing with Jack at Bar None, camping with family (especially at Big Bend during the annual Terlingua Chili Cook-Off), gardening and singing in the choir at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her nine children and many grand kids. She cherished her Irish heritage and Celtic music, traveled to Ireland and frequented Irish festivals. She attended rock concerts and always supported local live music, especially her childrens musical endeavors. Sandy enjoyed playing pinochle with her husband and close friends. She was a sweet, friendly, smart and quick-witted soul whose warmth and generosity will be sorely missed.Sandy joins in heaven her loving husband of 45 years, John (Jack) B.
