Obituary

William "Bill" W. Moore was born on Jaunary 27, 1922 in Stephenville, Texas and passed away on November 25, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.He was preceded in death byVal, his beloved wife of 62 years; his sister, Margaret; and his brothers; Allen, Leon and J.C.He is survived by his sister; Jean Keffer; his children, BillMoore, Jr. and Margaret Sartain;grandsons, James Syring and wife, Catherine, and Corey Sartain and wife Misty; 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Walnut Hill Church of Christ for 31 years. Bill graduated from McCamey High School in McCamey, Texas and started his college education at North Texas Uni-versity. This was interrupted whenhe enlisted in the United States Army during World War ll where he reached the rank of sergeant. He worked on the base newspaper until his was transferred to the hospital trains that transported wounded soldiers around the country. Following the war he graduated from Sul Ross College. He started his work careeras the editor of his home townnewspaper. He went on to work ina variety of positions including merchandise management and generalmanager of two trading stamp com-panies, managing partner of 2 gro-cery stores, and co-founded a pic-ture framing business.
