Margaret W MorrisonBorn 1918 - Died 2013Richardson, TX -Graveside service for Margaret Waite Morrison, 95 years old Richardson resident, will be held at the Elm Grove Cemetery, located Southwest of Stillwater, Oklahoma. She died November 10, 2013 at her residence, The Gardens of Richardson after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. Margaret moved from Stillwater, OK to Richardson, TX in November 20, 2007. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Springer, husband of Sandra Waite daughter of John and Louise Waite. Arrangements are under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.Margaret (Waite) Morrison was born in 1918 in a log cabin southwest of Perkins, Payne County, Oklahoma. The cabin is located near 140th street and Redlands Rd just north of the Cimarron River. As a child she attended Goodnight and Perkins, Oklahoma Schools.Margaret majored in English and graduated with Honors from Oklahoma A&M in 1939. As a freshman she met Dr. Robert Dean Morrison PhD. And upon graduation they married. Her Son Dr. William Dean Morrison DO, was born on Valentines day in 1942. Bill was a spotter pilot in the Vietnam War.Margaret worked in Oklahoma A&M in the Extension Division and assisted Dr. Morrisons graduate students with preparing their Doctoral Thesis. Margaret was an avid golfer, she enjoyed the outdoors and was an excellent seamstress.Surviving are her brother, William Moore Waite and his wife June Livermore of Roseville, California, Brother Carl Wesley Waite his wife Phyllis Ann Peterman, of Richardson, TX, and many nieces, several nephews and other family members.Margaret was preceded by her parents William Clarence Waite and Lena Pearl Moore Waite, her husband Dr. Robert Dean Morrison PHD, and her son Dr. William Dean Morrison OD. Also preceding her were three brothers and a sister; John Albert Waite of Broken Arrow, OK, Maurice Gale Waite of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Walter Waite of Merritt Island, FL and Lucile Waite Barton of San Jose, CA.Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
