NANCY LEE COTTON LINDSAY was born on May 24, 1934 in Houston, Texas and ended her earthly journey on August 9. 2022. Nancy grew up in Greenville, Dallas and Borger, Texas. She attended Borger High School and Southern Methodist University. Nancy and E.H. Buddy Lindsay were married in November of 1955 in Farmers Branch, Texas where they raised a family and lived until 1986 before moving to Argyle and then Denton. Nancy returned to Farmers Branch in 2009. She was a charter member of the Farmers Branch Historical Park Board and a member of the Farmers Branch Womens Club. She enjoyed attending church wherever she lived; First Baptist Farmers Branch, First Baptist Argyle, and First Baptist Collinsville. She lived a life of assured of Gods salvation and often professed her Christian faith.Nancy was proceeded in death by her husband Buddy Lindsay and is survived by daughter and son-in-law Sheridan and Peter Stringer; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Mike Holloway; son David Lindsay; three grandchildren, McCallan Melinger (Jacob), Daniel Stringer, Luke Stringer and two great grandchildren Ray and Cy Melinger. Nancy is also survived by two loving sisters Maggie Ford of Houston, Texas and Elvin Mathis of Spring, Texas many nieces and nephews and cherished friendships. A proud matriarch, Nancy was the life of every family gathering and will surely be remembered with many smiles and so much love.A service honoring Nancys life will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:30AM at First Baptist Farmers Branch, 13017 William Dodson Pkwy with Pastor Jordon Whittington officiating. Private burial at DFW National Cemetery.
