Obituary

NATHANIEL RAY MAXWELL

Nathaniel, (aka Nate the Great), was born March 17,1984 and passed unexpectedly at home on December 12, 2024. He was born and lived in Farmers Branch and was a member of First Baptist Church Farmers Branch being baptized on April 6, 1997. He attended R.L. Turner High School, finishing his junior year by taking the GED test. He completed a chef course through CIA; however, the stress of a commercial kitchen was overwhelming, so he changed direction into electronic technical work. He was employed at his uncle's company, Immersive, assembling cameras. Immersive initiated the 360-degree camera. Nate married Merrill Willenborg on 10-21-2007 at the Old Red Courthouse prior to its renovations. They had one daughter, Paisley Ann, in November 2013. Nate became a stay-at-home dad and was an excellent "dada".

Nate is survived by Merrill Willenborg and daughter Paisley. Parents, Michael and Linda Maxwell, brother Andrew and Caitlin Maxwell and their three children Mayce, Luke and Emma. Uncle Rick Maxwell and Eve, cousins Chris Maxwell, Jeremy and Theresa Maxwell, Cousin Jessica Maxwell, uncle David Maxwell and Elisa Maxwell Crowder and David, cousin Brian Crowder and Elizabeth. Aunt Laura and Byron Drew, cousins David Drew, Jason and Mary Ellen Drew, Wesley and Erika Drew, and their girls Natalia and Micaela. Aunt Lisa and Neal Cooper, cousin Rachel Laird, and her triplets Ada, Jesse and Sloane, and cousin Stevie and Mark Reynolds.

Nate had many friends and enjoyed meeting new people. He played the bass guitar and was in a high school band (12 Years Wasted). Music was his passion, and he loved almost every genre. He could tell you who sang a song, who wrote it, who produced it, etc. He was fascinated with Prince and Michael Jackson. He even had a love for Garth Brooks when he was in middle school. He loved movies and would quote movie lines to his friends and family. He also enjoyed fishing with family and friends.

Nate was a loving and accepting person. He gave hugs freely and always told everyone he loved them before he left them. Most of all, he loved his daughter Paisley. He will be missed terribly.

Nate will be cremated, with a Celebration of Life to be held at First Baptist Farmers Branch on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00. Should you wish to make a donation to honor Nate, please connect with the attached GoFundMe site.
