William Robert Bob Niles, beloved husband and father, of Carrollton, TX, born February 13, 1933 to William E. and Lois S. Niles in El Reno, Oklahoma passed away December 14, 2014. Bob is preceded in death by his father (1970) and mother (2004), and survived by his wife of 57 years (M. Sue Niles); two daughters (Kelli S. ElDorado and J. Michelle Mills)and son (R. Burton Niles), as well as 11 grandchildren (Clark & Bret ElDorado, Alex Kellen & Maggie Mills and Katie, Emily, Zachariah, William, John-Thomas & Rachel Niles; sister (Jacqueline Bishop) and two brothers (John and Kenneth Hoppy Niles). After serving in the U.S. Army as a1st lieutenant, Bob went to work for his father in his grocery store, and later worked as an insurance adjuster. Bob worked as a commercial artist most of his life, working as an illustrator, calligrapher and watercolorist. Besides his love of art, he was a talented musician, singing in high school (Stillwater) and college (Oklahoma A&M/OSU) in a barbershop quartet, and serving as choir director/worship leader in several churches. His sense of humor and the joy he brought us will be greatly missed by all.Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at North Dallas Funeral Home with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at DFW National Cemetery at a later time.Please send family condolences and sign the guestbook on this website.
