Laurence Thomas OConnor was born at Royal Womens Hospital, Sydney, Australia on March 10, 1930 and went home to his passed away and Savior, Jesus Christ, July 5, 2014 in Grapevine, Texas USA.He is the fourth child of Louis Walter OConnor and Lila Alice May Featherstone OConnor.He is survived by, Sharne Elise Hankey and Husband, Ricky, Suzanne Grace OConnor and Sheree Jennifer OConnor. Grandchildren, Jeffrey Lynn Hankey, Chrissy Jo Hankey McCormack, Bonner Gary Hankey, and Mycole Grayson OConnor. His great grandchildren, Preston Lynn Hankey, Kaliegh McCormack, Brianna Nicole Hankey, Kaden McCormack, Kyndel McCormack; one brother, John OConnor and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and other family members.He was a loving and beloved uncle Logs to his many nieces and nephews, especially Danny and Doyle Hudgins, Annette Lifsey, Lynn Murphy and Donna Jerez.He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, Alfred OConnor, William OConnor and Ronald OConnor; two sisters, Norma Cullison and Joan Hudgins.As a teenager he was a champion feather weight boxer. He was a panel beater/auto body man by trade.He graduated from L.I.F.E. Bible College in Sydney, Australia and ordained by International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. He pioneered a foursquare church in Liverpool, Australia and after moving to the United States he travelled extensively preaching in various churches and in tent revival meetings.In his later years he travelled to the Philippine Islands where he spent time preaching and writing songs and poetry. As his health deteriorated he returned to the United States and has lived in the Dallas area for the past several years.Please send the family condolences on this website.
