Jane Henderson Owen was born September 26, 1935 in Sulphur Springs, TX and died on April 13, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side. She bravely faced death from lung cancer.She is survived by her son, Joe Owen and his wife, DAun Owen; daughters, Melinda OConnell, and Melanie Christina and her husband, Chip Embrey; five grandsons and one great grandson. Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Owen; parents, Lucille and Neil Henderson; brother, Neil Jr. and grandson, Brendan OConnell.Jane was an incredible mother, a self-taught business woman with a successful career in commercial real estate. She was a strong willed, beautiful woman with a brilliant mind. Jane was a woman before her time, raising 3 children alone after her husband died in 1966. She lived a full life with travel, sports, parties, politics, friends and family. Jane was a avid dog lover and she was a inspiration to many!! In her words, she lived a hard life but a good life. Jane was vigilant until the end that her family was taken care of and that they will be together forever.Funeral service will be April 18, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Schreiber United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
