Obituary

David Paul Pannek, 57 years of age passed peacefully from this world into the next on January 27th, 2012 to join his parents, Fred and Penny, his beloved Nannie & loving dog Bruno. David is survived by his daughters ~ Amy, Shannon & Heather. Grandchildren ~ Amelia, Angel, Adri, Ashley, Nathan, Anthony, Zachary, Avrea, Samantha, Deziray, Mateo & Sofia, as well as his loving dog Merlin. David was born on December 8th, 1954 in Dallas Texas. He soon found himself big brother to four brothers, Rod, Mitch, Mark, and Matthew. At 12 years of age David became the youngest Eagle Scout in Dallas Texas. He was an Order of the Arrow member as well as one of the first swim team members for Lake Highlands High School. In 1972 at the young age of 18, he began serving his country in the Army. During his time of service he was stationed in Korea for 22 months during the Vietnam war delivering ammo by helicopter to the front line. He also was stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado on the Mountain Rescue team serving as a medic. August 1st, 1978 he was honorably discharged. Upon his return to Dallas he became a well known Disc Jockey for local clubs and coined his nickname of Smokin
