Forever in our hearts It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gary Don Parsons. A heart as big as Texas came to rest last Thursday, February 4, 2016.Survived by his wife, Evelyn Parsons; daughter, Tamara and son-in-law, Chris, daughter, Carol and son-in-law, Steve; grandchildren, Hayley, Ashley, Zach, Bryan, and David; great grandchildren, Declan, Adler, Luke, Zoe, and Julian; and sister, Linda.Born in Snyder, Texas, Gary spent the majority of his life in the Dallas area where he married Evelyn and built his career in Information Technology at Hi-Line Electric Company as an IT Manager. During his tenor, Gary accumulated hundreds of hours maintaining a cutting edge expertise in such a fast paced industry. His intelligence and quick wit earned him much respect amongst his colleagues.An avid reader and love for mystery, Garys top choice was always the latest Dirk Pitt adventure in the Clive Cussler novels. The book would have to close however, on race day as he was a huge Dale Earnhardt, Jr fan, often bantering in fun with Evelyn and her pick in the Nascar circuit. He enjoyed family time, movies, making people laugh, brain teasers, and all things mustard. His favorite place to take walks with Evelyn and Hayley was a local park he affectionately called Rainbow Forest, a place where his ashes will be spread to honor one of his last wishes.The family will be holding a special memorial service in March and will provide details to friends and family in the coming weeks.In lieu of flowers, we ask you to consider a donation to the American Heart Association at www.Heart.org in Garys name.Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
