Sharon Rose Parsons, 47 years of age and a resident of Farmers Branch, Texas, passed away at 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from leukemia.Sharon was born on Novemeber 21, 1964 in Huntington, West Virginia to Edgar and Melva Parsons. Her siblings are Kimberly Dwana Parsons Taylor, Verlena Jean Parsons, Bonnie Lee Parsons, Katherine Anette Parsons Marsh, and Eddie Lee Parsons.Sharon never married, but the father of her daughter is Andrew Montes and to the day she died was her best friend.She obtained her GED shortly after arriving to Texas around 1983. For employment, she worked at Seismic Engineering, North American Van Lines, Newcomb Springs, Dr. Song Dentistry, and most recently UT Southwestern University. She lived with her daughter & 3 dogs (now 2). For fun she loved shopping at thrift shops and made a hobby of selling things on eBay. She loved grabbing lunch with her girlfriends and talking constantly on the phone with her friends back home. She once attended Royal Haven Baptist Church and gave routinely to the church. She also donated to many Cancer research organizations and Pet Rescue organizations. Sharon wrote a book " Kate's Amazing Day" telling about her religious views which she held to high achievement.Sharon is survived by Andrew Montes, father of her daughter, daughter, Alexis Megan Montes, future son-in-law Christian Eftimie and his family, best friend, Kay Radcliff and her family, pets, Maggie May and Teddy; sisters, Kimberly Taylor, Genie Parsons, Kathy Parsons, Bonnie Parsons; brother, Eddie Parsons; friends, Mattie Wilbanks and family, Daphne Lewis and family, Susan and Mon G and family, and Brenda Hart. Preceded in death by her parents Melva Louise Parsons and Edgar Lee Parsons and her pet dog, Montana.A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 1:30 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Nobal Schear, the pastor that brought her to Christ, will be performing a brief sermon and prayer at Sharon's, then there will be a time for family and friends to express feelings and say goodbye.Sharon's wishes were that you donate to your local Cancer Research Organization or Pet Organization.
