James Edward Petty of Carrollton, Texas passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the age of 72. James was born in Sherman, Texas on March 27, 1941. His parents were Jake Ulice and Virgie Henrietta Griffith Petty. He was married to Verna (Cookie) Ann Davison Petty for 54 years.James is predeceased by his parents and a son, Johnny Wayne Petty. Survivors include his wife, Cookie; sons, James Michael Petty and David Ray Petty; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Louise Smith, Mary Nell Cline, Cathy Ann Petty and brother, Jake Ulice Petty Jr.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Christian Center Assembly of God Church, 13505 Josey Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Funeral service will be Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Christian Center Assembly of God Church with Rev.
