Theresa Leverette Powell wasborn August 4, 1936in Dallas, Texas, and diedSeptember 5, 2016 in Celina, Texas of bone cancer. She was 80 years old. Theresa graduated high school from St. Edwards Academy in Dallas and obtained her Bachelors Degree from UTD in criminal justice. She spent her adult life focused on her husband, children and extended family and she loved to travel, especially with family and friends.Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Bill Powell; her parents, Floyd and Gertrude Leverette: her sisters, Virginia Schnitzius and Mary Cerra; and great grandson, Bennett Allen Tharp.She issurvived by her brother and sister in-law, Joe and Sue Leverette; sister and brother in-law, Margie and Vic Muse; sister and brother in-law, Dorothy and Frank Adamcik; brother in-law, Pat Schnitzius; son, Richard Powell and his wife, Lisa; son, Kerry Powell and his wife, Linda; daughter, Eileen Bordelon and her husband, Jerome; daughter, Joanna Brown and her husband, Pat; and ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.Visitation is Friday,9 September 2016from 9:00 to 11:00 am, rosary is at 11:00 am allin the Brooks Family Chapel of theNorth Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Mass of Christian burial is Friday, 9 September 2016at 2:00 pm at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 14032 Dennis Road, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.Interment will be at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Family Catholic Church, P.O.
