Obituary

David Alan Pullen was taken from his home in Cedar Hill, TX to be with his passed away and Savior Jesus Christ on November 8, 2013 at the age of 59. Born in Providence Hospital in Waco, TX on June 28, 1954 to Peyton Harry Pullen and Mary Anne Pullen, David was the eldest of three children. He was baptized at the age of 10 at the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ in Waco, TX and gathered a thorough knowledge of the Bible and its teachings throughout his life. As a member of Boy Scout Troop 308, he attained the second highest available ranking of Life Scout, and was a member of the Boy Scouts prestigious National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow. He graduated from Richfield High School in Waco in 1972, and earned an Associates of Science Degree from the Texas State Technical Institute in 1977. Later that year he moved to Texas City, TX to work with Monsanto, where he was employed until 1984. Following the birth of his son, Matthew, David moved his family to Lewisville, TX and took a position at ST Micro Technologies in March of 1984, encompassing a 29 year career. In 1989, he welcomed a daughter into the family with the birth of Katie. On October 4, 2003 he married the love of his life, Molly, with whom he recently celebrated 10 years of marriage. David loved listening to and making music, having taken an affinity to the bass guitar in his younger years. He enjoyed traveling and discovering the country on vacations with Molly, touring the state together on his Harley Davidson, and above all spending time with his family and friends. He carried a permanent smile on his face, and was quick to bring laughter to the room.Davids life is celebrated by his wife, Molly, his son, Matthew, his daughter, Katherine (Katie) and husband Tony, his mother, Mary Anne, sisters, Susan Shafer and husband John, and Leslie Morris and husband Louis, the mother of his children, Debby Burns, lifelong friends David Terry, Hayden Whittington, Hans Zaumeyer and a menagerie of pets, including his dogs, Dempsey and Ellie, cats, Rosie and Simon, and parrots, Caesar and Bud.David is joining his father Peyton Harry Pullen (August 23, 1928-July4, 1996) in Heaven.A memorial service will be held at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, TX on Friday November 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Family will welcome guests before and after the service.
