Obituary of Ramkumari Joyce Sukhnandan Ramkumari Joyce Sukhnandan of Carrollton, Texas, the beloved mother of three children (two of whom sadly pre-deceased her) and five grandchildren, passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 81. Ms. Joyce, as she was fondly known, was a teacher for most of her working life and retired at 75 years old. Her love for teaching and a passion to help educate young children in their formative years was formed when her own three children were very young. She home schooled, all by herself, her three children in a complete kindergarten curriculum while jostling housework and daily chores. No easy feat for a young woman in her 20s in a time when the luxuries we know of today were non-existent. Teaching never surpassed her love of being a mother and grandmother. She was a very loving, giving and caring mother to each of her children and grandchildren. Ms. Joyce will be deeply missed by her loving family, her numerous friends, relatives and all the parents whose young children she taught.
