Obituary

Was born August 3, 1951, in Thomasville, N.C. and passed peacefully away on September 20, 2024, Garland, TX. Ramona worked in customer service in the banking industry and later in her retired years as a Volunteer with Hospice for 12 years.

Ramona loved Music, Elvis Presley was her favorite singer, Ramona had visited Graceland several times, and had albums and cd's of his many songs, her radio was always tuned to the Sirius radio station. Ramona, in conversation at any given time, was going to tell you about Elvis Presley, the greatest singer of all time. Ramona would say the 2nd best singer she knew was Ernie Hasse who became her longtime friend. Ramona went to every concert Ernie held in Ft. Worth. She loved going to hear all the gospel singing group and along the way by going to his concerts to hear Ernie Hasse and the Signature Sounds, she always said Ernie does justice to Elvis Songs. Ramona was a member of the Marty Stewart fan club and met Marty several times. Ramona's favorite Artist was Thomas Kinkade and had several of his books signed and several of his paintings were Ramona's favorite places just to look at and feel peace. Ramona's, favorite food was a cheeseburger and French fries from Snuffers.

She always said I am a Texas transplant; I have lived here so long. Ramona was a child that had a parent in the Service the U.S. Army. And then she married, her husband, her soulmate who was also, in the U.S. Army and Retired after 20 years from the Army. Don always called Ramona his little Princess, Ramona was very proud to be his Army wife, 27 years of Marriage.

An honorable mention to Prim Hospice and Pricilla at Precious Care Comfort Residential Home, were the most loving extra family, one could have for Memory Care Illness. Ramona was Lutheran and was able to have her weekly bible study and support from the Hospice Chaplain that she really enjoyed.

Surviving Ramona is her dog Biscuit Don Harris-Baxter, Rowlett TX, Daughter Vickie Eckert Somerset, TX. Grandson John Wayne Davidson, Somerset TX. Stepson Donald Harris Jr., and Stepdaughter Teresa Valdez and Son in Law Al Valdez, all of San Antonio TX. Many other family members, Erma Harris, Ron Harris and Karen Smith. Robert Burris half brother, Asheboro N.C. and Brother Johnny Musser and numerous nieces and nephews in Thomasville, N.C.

Ramona is preceded in death by her husband Donald K Harris, Daughter in law Michele Harris, Son in law Elton Davidson. Her Father Arnold Musser and Mother Robbie Nell Yokely and stepbrother Jimmy Burris.

Thank you, Dakota Flemming, Patria Daigre, Connie Marshall, for spending precious time and wonderful care of Ramona Musser Harris.

Visitation will be held October 3, 2024, 12-2p.m. at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas TX 75234, then to follow visitation will be a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm and a reception to follow.

Interment will be at Restland Cemetery. Private Service for the family on October 4, 2024.
