Our father Selvester Martinez Rangel has joined our dear passed away up in the Kingdom of Heaven, where he is now amongst his wife and our mother, Margaret Rangel, his brothers: Toribio Rangel, Joe Rangel, Victor Rangel, Ernest Rangel, and sister Rosario Rodriquez. Born on December 31, 1937 in Dallas, TX, Dad passed away on June 21, 2012. Selvester, beloved husband of 54 wonderful years to Margaret Alvarez Rangel is also survived by his six children, sons: Selvester A. Rangel , Philip A. Rangel, Robert A. Rangel, Johnny A. Rangel, and Steve A. Rangel and his daughter Isabell Osterhoudt. Dad is survived by daughter-in-laws Linda Rangel, Sophia Rangel, his son-in-law, Mike Osterhoudt and future daughter-in-law, Gloria.Dad is survived by his brothers, Alfonso Rangel, Richard Rangel, Margarito Rangel, and Frank Rangel.Dad is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren that brought much happiness and joy to his heart, Selvester Thomas Rangel, Natalie R. White, Jeff White, Michael Osterhoudt, Guadelupe Osterhoudt, Sara Osterhoudt, Victoria Rangel, Hailey Rangel, Olivia Rangel, Makayla Rangel, Mariah Rangel, Leo Rangel and his four great-grandchildren, Reuven Rangel, Michael Osterhoudt, Jessica Osterhoudt, and Jacob Osterhoudt.Dad was a devoted Catholic and loved his family unconditionally. His memory will live forever in the hearts and minds of his immediate and extended family and friends. Dad will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and also on Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012, all in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
