Obituary

Agnes was born at home in Gary, Indiana. She is the only child of Joseph & Cecilia Lucas. She is pre-deceased by a half sister, Mary Satanek, from her Mothers first marriage. Agnes attended Lew Wallace High School where she met and eventually married her high school sweetheart, John Reibly on October 21st, 1950.Agnes worked in a variety of different careers, starting out with Banking, then as a nurses aid and finally her most loved position as Grandma to her grandchildren.Agnes & her husband John raised their five children in Merrillville, Indiana. Agnes and John moved from Merrillville, Indiana to Wildwood Acres on Cedar Creek Lake in 1992 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. They made many beloved friends that became a second family to them.Agnes was involved with the Library outreach program at Cedar Creek and active in many women clubs throughout her life. Since moving to Gardens of Richardson Assisted Living Center in 2013 she became an avid Bingo Player and Card Shark. She was on the council for the residents at the center and instrumental in improving conditions there. She was a well loved and popular resident.Agnes never met a stranger. She could talk to anyone and usually did. Her joyous spirit was apparent to all that met her. She was a devoted Wife and Mother. Her life revolved around her family. She had a big heart and helped those in need.John, her husband, pre-deceased her in June of 2013 and was there to welcome her home. Agnes is survived by daughter; Patti & sons of McKinney, TX, Her sons; James (Stacie) of Tyler, TX, Bill (JoAnn) of Diamond Bar, CA, Michael (Ruthmarie)of Corinth, TX, & Donald (Christine) of Highland, IN along with Grandchildren; Dacre, Dominic, Janan, Jami, Kyle, Channing, Michalyn, Ryan & Derek. Two nieces in Indiana and multiple family members on her Mothers side.Please leave family condolences and share memories on this website.
