Robert
Beserra
September 13, 1959 – October 18, 2024
Robert Beserra, 65, of Richmond, Texas, passed away in October of 2024
Robert Beserra was born in September 1959 to Richard and Ludmilla Beserra of Rosenberg, TX. He proudly attended and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a mathematics degree and held his horns up at any chance he could get. Hook 'em.
After graduating, Robert moved to the Dallas area and began his career in construction. Robert enjoyed working in this area, interacting with clients he considered dear friends, and running a successful business.
Outside of his career, Robert enjoyed golf, Texas football, and all things sports. He also enjoyed caviar and champagne when the occasion called for it and believed life should be celebrated. Robert's motto was to "savor the moment," and he did this in many ways, including his love of travel. Robert loved singing his favorite songs, attending as many Eagles concerts as possible, and listening to live music.
Robert had unconditional love for his children and grandchildren and always supported those close to him through life's trials and triumphs. He joked every single day until his passing and never took life too seriously. Robert was also the most generous man.
Robert was married for 13 years to his wife Sophia, with whom he traveled the world alongside their beloved dog Baron. They had a shared zest for life.
Robert is predeceased by his father and mother, Richard & Ludmilla Beserra, and his siblings, Richard Becerra Jr. and Patricia Becerra. He is survived and loved by his wife Sophia Beserra, children Ryan (Laura) Beserra, Lauren (Chris) Wright, Erin (Steven) Shields, Eliott Gonzalez and Oliver Buchanan, grandchildren Kyler Wright, Titus Shields, Luka Shields, Sterling Shields and Penny Beserra, siblings Adrian Becerra, Yvonne Becerra, Linda Becerra and Liz (Boyce) Funderburk and puppy Baron.
Robert will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Dallas.
