Robert Russell Prater , born November 17, 1954, died on June 5, 2025. He is survived by one brother, Isaac Prater Jr, and one sister, Keela Prater.

Russell wrote, "Please don't grieve too much for me. I've lived a good life. I've done almost everything I wanted to do, seen almost everything I wanted to see, I've lived life my way and on my terms as a good, honest man, I believe in the Lord, and God said if you believe in his Son, you shall not perish but have everlasting life. Death is the last adventure that we take.  I'm not going to say goodbye; I'm just going to say bye for now until I see y'all again. To my friends at Willy's, please drink one for me, and if you smoke, smoke one for me. Love y'all, Russell."

Russell was truly one of the good guys. He was a great brother. I admired his strength, his honesty, his strong will, and his moral compass. Rest in peace, my dear sweet brother, until I see you again. I will think of you often & never stop loving you. We couldn't have asked for a better brother, you were the best and will be missed so much, love you always.
