Robert (Bob) William Strittmatter of Carrollton, Texas passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the age of 97. He was born on September 20, 1928, to Henry and Emma Strittmatter in Pilot Point, Texas. He graduated from Pilot Point High School in 1946 and married Frances Ann Walker on June 2, 1951. Together they had six children. Robert was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Robert worked as an aircraft mechanic fro Braniff International from 1957-1982, he then went to work for Southwest Airlines until his retirement in 1996. He was awarded the "Top Wrench" award while at Southwest Airlines. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, George (Buddy), wife of 67 years, son, Robert Jr., and his son-in-law, Marc Lister. He is survived by five children: Michael (Polly), Lisa Crosby (Steve), Mark Strittmatter, Kathy Pyle, and Linda Lister, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a sister, Henrietta Rocha, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 am at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch on Thursday, March 26, 2026. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am with a luncheon following, provided by the Knights of Columbus. Robert was dearly loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
