We are pained and full of sorrow toreport the death of Martin JudahRodman, age 80, residing in Dallas,Texas who died on Monday, December20, 2010 from natural causes.Martin was born on November6, 1930 in New York City and wasraised in The Bronx as one of twochildren born to the late Rose Levineand Philip Rodman. Martin attendedThe Bronx High School ofScience and received his Bachelor ofBusiness Administration and Masterof Arts degrees from The City Collegeof New York, and later receivedhis Master of Business Administra -tion degree from UT Dallas. Heproudly served in the U.S. Army fortwo years and was honorably discharged.He excelled in his career of30 years as an accountant and executivefor the Army and Air ForceExchange Service (AAFES), travelingthroughout the world, which heloved. While stationed in Munich,Germany, he met Irma BendelMacKenzie, his wife of 38 years.They were wedded in 1972 andraised their family of three childrenin Dallas, Texas. Only 18 days beforeMartin passed away, Irma diedfrom pancreatic cancer; Martin tookexquisite care of Irma and theircloseness is evident from the proximityof their deaths. After retiringfrom AAFES, Martin worked forthe Dallas Museum of Art, a testimonyto his love of all arts. He alsotaught finance and accounting atSouthern Methodist University.Martin was the devoted father tothe late Christina MacKenzie. Martinis survived by his sister EnidFlender, son Alexander MacKenzie,daughter Sarah Rodman Scott, sonin-law Daniel Scott, niece NicoleChalamet, nephew RodmanFlender, and granddaughters Alexisand Caroline Scott. Martin will begreatly missed by those that knewhim. He was an avid reader, an intellect,and a quintessential renaissanceman. He valued education asan absolute priority and was dedicatedto fostering scholarly pursuitsfor his family. He will always be rememberedby his children as anurturing and loving father. He willalso be remembered as an extremelyunique individual who enjoyed engagingin discussions with peoplefrom all walks of life about any andall topics, always wanting to learnnew insights and knowledge. A funeralservice will be held at theDallas-Fort Worth National Cemeteryin Dallas, Texas on Monday,December 27, at 10:30 a.m.
