Michael Ishbel Salas, born July16th, 1917 in San Luis Potosi,Mexico to Damaso & RamonaSalas, passed away on October 25th,2010. Brought to Texas with hisfamily when he was about 1 1/2years of age, he lived all his life inDallas, attending school & workinghere. Served in the Army duringWorld War II & took part in the DDay invasion of Normandy. Afterthe war he came back to Dallas &worked at the Schieffer Studio as afurniture finisher & retired severalyears ago.
