Samuel
Carranza
August 30, 1964 – September 8, 2025
Samuel "Sam" Carranza, 61, of Farmers Branch, TX, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on August 30, 1964, in Jalisco, Mexico, Sam lived a life that was defined by love, laughter, and connection.
To know Sam was to feel welcomed. He had a smile that could brighten a room and a laugh that made everyone feel at ease. His happiest moments were spent outdoors, fishing, swimming, or relaxing at a ranch, but nothing compared to the joy he found with his grandkids. Being "Grandpa" to Noah, Haven, and Jett was his greatest blessing.
Sam had a passion for cooking and built a career as a chef, where every dish carried not just flavor, but heart. Those who sat at his table will always remember the warmth of his food and the even greater warmth of his company. He was a gifted conversationalist who had a way of connecting deeply with others, leaving each person feeling valued and loved.
Sam is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa; his daughters, Liz, Jannehl, and Nicole; his beloved grandchildren, Noah, Haven, and Jett; his mother, Trinidad Olivera; and his siblings, Graciela, Marcial, Lidia, Clementina, Jesus, and Roberto. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Carranza, and siblings, Fidela, Ernesto, and Martha.
The family will forever carry with them the memory of Sam's kindness, his welcoming spirit, and the way he made every moment feel special. His love is a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
