Daisy Ruth Minix Sawyers was born on July 4, 1927 in Aquilla, Texas and passed away on December 26, 2013, Dallas, Texas. She was 86 years old.Daisy is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Sawyers. They were married 61 years.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Clayton and Martha Sawyers of Kemp, Texas, her daughter Denise Sawyers Bunch of Dallas, Texas, her grandchildren, Jacque Sawyers of Lockhart, Texas, Emilie Sawyers of Dallas, Texas, Aimee and Kiel Rado of Addison, Texas, Elizabeth Sawyers of Frisco, Texas, Jaime Bunch of Plano, Texas and Sean and Amanda Bunch of Justin, Texas, her brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Rita Tanner, and many nephews and nieces.Daisy will especially be remembered for entertaining the family every Easter, July 4th, summer outings at the lake house, and December 24th. She was an artist and loved to paint. Daisy had a passion for her yard and flowers, but her biggest passion was her children and grandchildren.Daisy was a member of the Walnut Hill Church of Christ.Visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. Interment will be at 3:30 pm in the Vaughn Cemetery in Vaughn, Texas.Vaughan Cemetery is located about 12 miles west and south of Hillsboro, Texas. Directions to the cemetery: Take Highway 22 out of Hillsboro toward Whitney.
