David B. Sellers passed away peacefully on June 28, 2013 at the age of 77, after a courageous battle with cancer. The oldest of three children, David was born June 28, 1936, in Ft. Worth, Texas. He graduated from Pine Tree High School and attended the University of Texas in Austin. There he met his future wife Jan on a blind date, and they were married in 1958. Dave served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. Ultimately both he and Jan graduated with their degrees from Texas and moved to Dallas, where they made their permanent home and raised their two sons, Mike and Scott. Dave worked as an executive in the insurance industry in Dallas for 40 years. He came to be extremely respected in his chosen field, and his opinions were often sought out on insurance underwriting cases nationwide in the later years of his career. He held numerous leadership positions in local and national insurance underwriting organizations. Dave was very active in his community, coaching his sons
