Obituary

In loving memory of Seong Kee Paik Seong Kee Paik, a beloved husband, son, family member, and friend, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on September 14, 2026, at the age of 35. He was a resident of Plano, Texas. Seong was born in Mckinney, Texas on August 19, 1991. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2014 and later returned to earn his MBA in 2021. After completing his bachelor’s degree, Seong began his career at Liberty Mutual, where he dedicated 12 years of his professional life. He started as a commercial underwriter and, through his determination, hard work, and commitment, worked his way up to become a custom underwriting specialist. In October 2020, Seong met the love of his life, Mellony. They married in November 2024 and began building a life together filled with love, laughter and shared dreams. Through hard work and determination, Seong and Mellony purchased their first home together in June 2025 Although they did not have children, their home was filled with the love of their two adorable cats, Midnight and Puppy. Seong was an ambitious, caring, and loving person who took great pride in being the eldest son in his family. He loved traveling whenever he could and especially enjoyed taking in the beauty of the mountains. One of his most recent adventures was a spontaneous trip to Arizona with Mellony and her family, where he experienced the Grand Canyon for the first time. Those who knew Seong will remember his warm smile and his ability to make people feel comfortable wherever he was. He loved talking with his family and friends and had a special gift for connecting with people. His “superpower” was his ability to talk to anyone about anything. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and genuinely wanted the best for the people he loved. Seong lived his life with ambition, kindness, generosity, and love. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain with his family and friends forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
