I am one of the lucky ones who gets to call Catherine Halley Shaw my closest friend. She was an amazing person and I have never learned more from anyone. She touched my life in every way imaginable. As I sit here writing this on my laptop, I see Catherine with her laptop on our coffee table that she loved, which she said was the deciding factor in her decision to move in with me. We started off as college roommates while attending Texas A&M University. Our friendship blossomed and before I knew it she was my best friend, my partner in crime, my confidant, my sister.
