Sheryl Ann Moffet Karr Granger, 74, of Irving Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 11, 2025.

Sheryl was born December 13, 1950 in Midland, Texas. Her loving parents, John and Jo Ann Moffet moved to Wichita Falls where Sheryl and her siblings, John Dozier Moffet and Loren Moffet grew up. Sheryl attended Rider High School. When she graduated, she went on to Texas Tech University and earned a Masters degree in Education. She met and married Dan Karr and had two daughters, Kiley Karr Fugate and Chandler Karr Franklin Pate. Sheryl was a teacher for 31 years. She started her teaching career in Lubbock. In 1985 Dan and Sheryl moved to the DFW metroplex and she began teaching at Travis Junior High where she spent many many happy years, teaching 8th grade American History.

Sheryl married Garry Granger in 2008. She is survived by her husband, Garry Granger of Irving, Texas. Her children Jason and Kiley Fugate of McKinney and Scott and Chandler Pate of Lubbock. Her grandchildren Bode Franklin, Kade Franklin, Hunter Fugate and Nathan Fugate. Her brother, John Moffet and his wife, Roberta Moffet; and her sister Loren Moffet and her husband, Gerald Todd. She is proceeded in death by her beloved grandmother "Honey" Minnie Hazel Dozier, her parents John and Jo Ann Moffet, and her sister in law, Cheryl Moffet. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America be made. Our deepest gratitude and love goes to Sheryl's caregivers, including Tongia, Jana, Jasmine and most especially Evangelina Valenzuela and Diana Perez. They cared for Sheryl with so much love and care. They were a blessing to our family and we will forever be thankful for their caring hearts and hands.
